Silver Oak has been in the pursuit of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon for over 40 years. The 2010 is vibrant, elegant expression of Alexander Valley from a cooler vintage. Deep garnet color with an enticing nose of cassis, blueberry, tobacco, and roasted herbs. Extremely good balance and not over-the-top. Wine was aged in 50% new and 50% old American Oak after blending for a few months in stainless steel which allows the wine to achieve a balance of the wine's natural elements, such as fruit and tannin, before they are influenced by oak.
