Barossa Shiraz Viognier 2011/12 Langmeil “Hangin' Snakes”

Product Description

Spicy, fruity, full-body red
Grape: 96% Shiraz (Syrah), 4% Viognier.
Region: Australia> Barossa Valley.
Notes: Sustainable.

Langmeil have long been known for big, robust, full-bodied Barossa red wines. Wines that serious red wine drinkers yearn for. Hangin’ Snakes has all the hallmarks of a Langmeil Shiraz with a difference, as it has been co-fermented with a hatful of the white variety Viognier to add complexity. The handpicked grapes are from the Barossa Valley floor to highlight the youthful and vibrant aspects of the fruit. Attractive perfume of red and black berry fruit, spicy, peppery and a touch of beetroot creeping in. Cool and restrained flavors, red fruits, spicy, sleek and trimmed with very tight, fine dusty tannins. A polished, fine, elegant feeling wine of warmth and layers.

Food Pairing: Ragu, BBQ, sausages, steak, matured cheddar cheese.
