Barossa Valley Shiraz 2013/14 Hewitson Ned & Henry’s

Product Description

Deep, fruity, full-bodied red
Region: Australia> Barossa Valley.
Grapes: Shiraz,
Notes: French oak barrel aging for 18 months. Tannin: Med+. Acidity: Med.

Very deep purple red. The aroma is distinctively Barossa Valley: black and red ripe fruits, and violet. The seamless palate of red-fruits, dark cherry and dark-earth characters are medium-bodied and restrained. Concentrated yet soft and supple, with an aura of classically made old-world style wine. Owner and wine maker Dean Hewitson came to the realization that South Australia's strength lays in its very old vineyards, many of them dry-grown from the 19th Century and therefore the oldest of their type in the world. Discovering the beauty within these venerable old vines and expressing their distinctive characters is the essence of Hewitson.

Food Pairing: red meats, grilled meats, burgers, BBQ.
