Description: The smell of a classic Burgundy is always bright, sweaty, and fruity creating an intoxicating bouquet. This is a Burgundy that has some lasting power. After 24 hours the wine was still drinking with the same vigor and structure as when it was first open.
Cotes d’Auxerre is a small town north of Burgundy proper in the department of Yonne. Chablis and Saint-Bris are it’s neighbors, wines that express a little more mineral tones than most of the wines from Cote D’Or.
Bittersweet cherry, flora, and Asian five spice characteristics. Soft but firm tannins surround the fruit. Light-bodied wine with alcohol and acid in perfect balance.
