Chinon 2012 Chateau de Coulaine “Bonnaventure”

Notes: Fermented in large oak barrels.

The Bonnaventure label is Etienne Bonnaventure flagship Chinon made only in the best years. Medium-bodied wine with light oak expression. Beautiful purple-red in color. Aromas of field grass and pomegranate. The palate is tightly structure, made to take on aging. However approachable now after decanting. Saddle leather, cigar-box, and dried rose petals on the mid-palate. Finishes clean and fruity.
