Gascony of Southwest France is rather familiar with its famous Armagnac brandy. However a few knows it also produces excellent wines that are clean and crisp. This wine, Les Hauts D’Arton, is fruity with bright acidity and aromas of acacia flowers, kiwi and passion-fruit. It is a very easy drinking “quaffable” white as is, and goes really good with light fares like shellfish, steamed seafood, or chicken with lemon sauce. The domaine D’Arton lies on the hilly heights surrounding Lectoure, a historical city built by the Romans that slopes down to the Pyrenees.

Food Pairing: Anything light: grilled fish, seafood, poultry with lemon sauce, salads, light pasta dishes.
