Much larger than the prestigious Hermitage appellation, which it surrounds, Crozes-Hermitage is an appellation of the northern Rhone valley in France, making predominantly rich red wines from Syrah varietal. Aromas of blackberry jam shows in a slightly reductive nose, prune ripeness present. There is a fleshy start to the palate, a fruit lozenge succulence here. Jean joined the super star winemaker trio (Cuilleron, Villard, Gailard) of Les Vins de Vienne, until he created his own domaine in 2009 and began his new life as a wine grower. The name "Accroche Coeur" refers to the tendrils that sprout in the springtime and form a kind of cowlick.
