Product Description
Fruity, comforting, medium body red.
Grapes: Fer Servadou.
Region: Southwest France> Marcillac.
Notes: Organic. Aging in oak and chestnut. 80 yr old vines.
Made from the indigenous grape Fer Servadou, this provincial red is inviting, joyful, fruity and floral notes with juicy fluidity, smooth tannins and well-balanced structure. Wine maker Phillipe Teulier’s old-vine vineyards lie along steep slopes in a remote valley of Marcillac, a further upstream from the commune of Cahors (the famed home of French Malbec), deep in the mountain range known as the Massif Central. Using organic, de-stemmed grapes, the wine is aged for 6 months in large oak and chestnut barrels which range up to 200 years old.
Food pairing: a great bistro wine that goes well with any hearty food
