Magali Tissot (cousin of rock star winemaker Stephan Tissot in Jura) and Ludvic Bonnelle own and run Domaine du Pech, located 60 miles south east of Bordeaux in the appellation of Buzet in Gascony. Their wines use no chemical interference in the vineyard or winery, including sulfur, a risky strategy but one they can take due to the high quality of the raw ingredient. The wines are produced from the typical varieties of the region. Very nice terroir expression with aromas that can provoke the landscape; lavender, black olive, black berry with earthy, gamey undertones. This is a wine as natural as you can get. The label art work is designed by our two daughters.
