Fattoria del Cerro is a renowned estate that has immense respect in the wine world. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano must not be confused with Montepulciano D'Abruzzo. Vino Nobile means "the noble wine from Montepulciano". It is referring to the town called Montepulciano not the grape. These wines are made with Sangiovese within the Tuscan region of central Italy.
The palate exhibits quince, toasted oak, and black tea leaf characteristics upfront. Great length of flavor that finally gives way to roasted herbs on the finish.
