Livio Felluga, one of Italy's wine patriarchs, a man who "believed in the strenght of the hills" long before others. This was a time when factories were springing up everywhere, the age of mass-prouction. Felluga's story includes enduring two world wars, population moving away ot the cities abandoning the agricultural land. Universally acknowledged as the man who re-established Friuli's winemaking heritage. Friulano is definitely a food wine when grown in cool climates on certain soil types. This Friulano speaks of roasted garlic, Starfruit, and coconut aromas. The palate displays spicy acidity (white pepper), ripe Starfruit on the mid-palate with sea brine, papaya, and almonds on the finish.
