Region: France > Southwest > Gaillac
Notes: Organic Farming.
A wine typical of Gaillac gets its spiciness and elegant tannins from the Duras grape and its red fruit character from the Braucal grape. These wines have an old-world feel with flavors of black fruit and dark herbal tones. The Syrah and Duras grapes adds a little black pepper characters on the finish. Domaine des Terrisses has been the property of the Cazottes family since 1750, situated on the the hillsides facing south-southwest toward the Tarn river. The vineyard is planted almost entirely with the traditional grape varieties of the region; a reminder of the region’s long historical and cultural links with wine.
