Chateau Beaumont 2008 Haut Medoc Cru Bourgeois

Product Description

Balanced, aromatic, matured, full-body red
Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.
Region: France> Bordeaux> Haut-Medoc.
Notes: Cru Bourgeois. Oak aged. Old vines.

A dark, intense hue. It is meaty, smokey, and full of appeal with tobacco and balsamic. It has a minerally, iron-edged character, and a full, concentrated, mouth-filling palate, which satisfies and refreshes the mouth with an elegant poise and a beautifully styled structure. Very good indeed, and a great value. Located just off the famed appellation of Margaux, the modern era for Beaumont began in 1986 when acquired by a joint venture created by Groupe GMF and Suntory, which also owns notable Ch. Lagrange and Ch. Beychevelle. Average vine age of 25 years, fermented in stainless steel vats with three weeks of maceration, then matured in barrels, with 1/3 new, for up to 14 months.

Food pairing: Red meats, BBQ, duck with red wine sauce
