Product Description
Fruity, earthy, dry, full-body Red
Grape: Sangiovese.
Region: Italy> Tuscany> Maremma.
Notes: Organic. Natural yeast. Oak aged.
Persistent and refined, with plenty of little red fruits with hints of balsamic and funky earthiness. Well balanced, savory, full bodied with fine grain tannins. After 12 months of Slovenian oak barrel aging, the wine goes through additional 12 months of bottle maturation. Montecucco is a DOC in Maremma that borders the famous Brunello di Montalcino. In 1999, Sassetti brothers bought the La Querciolina farm with abandoned vineyards. They began work to reclaim the land and replant the vineyards with the original varieties of vines, following the philosophy of the family who has already been producing wine in the adjacent Montalcino area for no less than four generations.
Food Pairing: Red meats, game, charcuterie, hard cheese.
