Description: Domaine Le Serp is a project created by Pierre Laplace, the son of Frederic Laplace. They have been making wine at the same estate in Madiran since the 1930's. Madiran has always produce very austere, tightly-wound wines due to the thick-skinned Tannat grape. Well young Pierre Laplace got it right structurally without lacking in fruit. The tannins are dusty and present but not austere. Underlying tones of black berries and loam.
