Isabella is a red, semisweet wine that is made from choice grapes of the Isabella variety grown in the central region of Moldova, in the Onesti zone. Strawberry notes that stand out clearly in the aroma and is balanced out in the flavor of the deep red berries. Isabella is an intriguing American hybrid grape, thought to be a crossing of unknown Vitis labrusca and vinifera species. Moldova is a landlocked country in Eastern Europe that lies just north of Romania and Bulgaria. Moldova wines are gaining popularity in recent years because of its superb price/quality ratio.
