Description: Although the names Asti may be more widely recognized today, the Monferrato provides more faithful expressions of Barbera. The longer hours of sunlight and the warmer climate allow the grapes to ripen completely and express the full personality of the varietal. The Villa overlooks one of the most enviable vineyard sites in the Monferrato, a perfect amphitheater that had been planted with vines since 1700s. The Valpane produces meaty Barberas that nevertheless offer plenty of lively fruit and aromas tha entice your palate and nose.
