Deep red color, earthy and peppery with black plum, red fruits and Mediterranean herbs aromas. This delicious red from southern France is produced by Domaine Abbeye Saint Eugenie, which was founded in 817 by the Benedictine order. The monks had already recognized the Carignan grape as the most adapted to the clay & chalky soil. The vines are 120 years old with low yields, giving a concentrated and powerful wine. They have been practicing sustainable agriculture for the last 20 years.
