Powerful nose with aromas of red and black fruits like blackcurrant, cherry, well balanced, good substance and also very typical of the wines of Saint-Estephe: persisting, silky tannins and freshness in the mouth. It is a wine with “heart” and has excellent aging potential. Manual harvest. Vinification in temperature controlled stainless steel tank,
aging for 18 months (40% new barrels, 60% one‐year old
barrels). It is a well-made Cru Bourgeois that has top-notch credentials: owned by Château Calon Ségur and located between Ch. Phélan Ségur and Ch. Meyney. Ask Manager if you have no idea what this means.
Food Pairing: red and juicy. Steaks, grilled red meats, game, charcuterie, hard cheese.
