San Polo is a beautiful estate located in the southeastern part of Montepulciano, overlooking the Saint’Antimo valley and Mt. Amiata. This wine is a product of collaboration between the owner Mariisa Allegrini and the importer Leonardo LoCascio to turn this gorgeous property into one of the finest wineries in the area. 100% Sangiovese Grosso, Rubio exhibits brilliant ruby red in color and fresh aromas of red cherries, violets and currants, followed by subtle spice and vanilla notes. Well-structured and balanced. It is easy going and versatile.
