Enticing aromas of apricot, ripe peach, pineapple hit the nose. Fruity flavors continue to the palate, balancing the refreshing acidity, ending with a long, dry, minerally palate. The family winery, operated by two brothers, produces this joyful white from their vineyards at the highest altitude of Valle Isarco in Alto-Adige, a remote mountain appellation just a few miles from Austrian border. They are geeky white wine specialists. In fact, Kerner and Silvaner, another maniac white varietal, are the only grapes they grow.
