Established in 1975 as a basement/garage winery amongst two friends, Kiona has come to make serious wines in the Red Mountain range. Aromas of leather, cinnamon, and subtle red wild berries. The palate exhibits enticing dark chocolate, brambly red berries, and a hint of cumin spice. All surrounded by a smooth, viscous texture that keeps the flavors present on the finish.
Food Pairing: Duck, eggplant, lamb chops, Mexican cuisine, spicy food, sweetbreads, smoked meats, venison, by itself, etc.
