Barolo 2010 Giacomo Ascheri “Sorano Vyd.”

Region: Italy> Piedmont> Serralunga d'Alba> Sorano Vyd.
Notes: 20 year old vines, 85% Slovenian neutral oak and 15% new oak.
Description: A traditional Barolo of intense garnet red color with wonderful bouquet of dry flowers, underwood, and leather. Hints of truffles and sweet spices wrapped in firm tannins.

Serralunga D’Alba has south to southwest facing slopes and an altitude which ranges from 280 to 350m above seal level. Calcareous, silty-marly soil with sand.

This wine is made by rising star, Matteo Ascheri.
