Product Description
Grape: Chardonnay 80%, Pinot Blanc 20%.
Region: France> Burgundy> Cote de Beaune> Ladoix.
Beautiful balance of fruitiness and earthiness, boldness and finesse, this Burgundy white benefits from a rare addition of Pinot Blanc to typical Chardonnay for additional depth and texture. Ladoix, a commune at the northern end of the Cote de Beaune sub-region of Burgundy and adjacent to the famed Corton vineyards, is known for its exceptional wine vineyards, which were planted in the 10th century by Monks of the Abbaye de Citeau. The distinctive soft buttery aromas are due to malolactic fermentation and then retained in oak, which contributes to the complexity such as vanilla, smokiness and hints of sweet spices such as clove and cinnamon.
Food Pairing: White meats with rich sauce, aged cheese.
