South Africa has some very special, almost Iconic wines if you take the time to sort through the averages. deTrafford winery is one of the best. The Chenin blanc has a richness you can smell a foot away from the glass. Intense aromas of butterscotch and cream sherry. On the palate the medium-bodied white reveals a rich and round texture. Baked Apple and Apricots upfront with hint of cinnamon spice and browned roux. Excellent Chenin Blanc with lots of character.
