Best enjoyed with a slight chill, Lambrusco is a good friendly wine that’s slightly sweet with notes of dark black fruits and ripe berries on the palate. A clean, dry finish. Locals drink this wine with almost everything from appetizers, especially salamis and prosciuttos, to main dish to dessert. The DOC label of Lambrusco di Sorbara is reserved for the sparkling wine in the Modena province of the Emilia-Romagna region made from two indigenous varietals: Lambrusco di Sorbara and Lambrusco Salamino.
