One of the leading wines in Douro, an area known as the first designated wine region in the world. Douro is characterized by schist soil, which is hard, sedimentary rock. The grapes are indigenous to the land. Pale straw color w/ aromas of citrus and linden flowers. On palate racy acidity that tantalizes the tongue and nice round body. The minerality is upfront with star fruit and peach essence on the mid-palate. Finish is dry and filled with mineral and lemon.
