Description: Kathryn Walt Hall is the proprietor of the ultra-premium HALL brand of wines. Growing up in the California wine country learning to make wines from her family since the early 70's. Kathryn decided to continue the tradition by acquiring close to 500 acres of premium vineyards in Napa and Sonoma counties.
Steve Leveque is the winemaker and practices organic farming and winemaking. The wine has excellent balance and this is revealed in all phases; sight, smell, and taste.
Pronounced bouquet of violets, black plum, and evergreen berries. Superior balance between acid and alcohol, never showing too much zippy nervousness or viscosity. The tannins are well integrated and slightly gripping upfront and ripe and chewy toward the finish. The oak character is described as vanilla and the fruit is creme de cassis, boysenberry, and a hint of eucalyptus. The finish is long, sturdy, and unbelivably elegant. This is not a big, in-your-face fruit and alcohol type of Cali Cab. This is beautifully proportioned.
