Description: Ciriaco Cefalo is I Capitani (the captain) of the estate. This is the oldest wine estate in Campania. The wines of Campania have unique characteristic because of the higher altitudes, and cool breezes blowing off the sea and ocean. Volcanic and clay soil also helps define these subtle but unique characteristics. Specializing in Aglianico, The Winery decided on the Jumara due to it's 15 days of skin maceration and extra time on the vines. Deep aromas of mascarpone, cookie dough, and chocolate. Medium-body red with ripe currant and raisin upfront. Sweet tannins from the barrel aging and Bing Cherry characteristics.
