Description: Pretty sour cherry, balsamic, spices on the nose with great balance, the old world charm and elegance. Persisting but well integrated smooth tannins. Aged in traditional large oak barrels for soft mouthfeel. This is another great value wine from our favorite Italian producer De Forville. Piedmont, the north-west corner of Italy that’s bordering the French Alps, is the region the Nebbiolo grape rules. It is where Barolo and Barbaresco, the most respected appellations of Nebbiolo wines, are proudly produced. The Langhe district, a neighbor of Barolo and Barbaresco, is also particularly known for quality Nebbiolo grapes, but a good thing is that they come without the astronomical price tags.
