Les Cousins 2013 L'Inconscient Red Priorat

Well-balanced, mineral driven, full body red wine.

Grape: 35% Carignan, 28% Grenache, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 10% Syrah.
Region: Spain> Priorat.
Notes: Fermented in large neutral oak barrel. Stainless steel tank aging.

Priorat is a hugely interesting wine region, and the only one aside from Rioja to have the highest quality status in Spain. The wines have unique personalities and flavors due to the special soil and favorable climate. Since they were 10 years old, Marc and Adria have been helping out at the highly acclaimed family winery, Mas Martinet Estate. In 2007, the cousins finally started Le Cousins, making their own mark on the wine world. L’Inconscient means innocence and captures their childhood journey together. It exhibits black fruits, mineral, balsamic and spices with fresh and silky mouthfeel.
Food pairing: Great with steaks, grilled meats, heavy sauces.
