Winery Of The Year by Wine & Spirits Magazine in 2012 and 2013, Les Vins de Vienne is a partnership of three superstar winemakers in the northern Rhone: Yves Cuilleron, Francois Villard and Pierre Gaillard. In the local dialect, reméage means pilgrimage. This wine comes from a blend of three typical Rhone white varietals--Viognier, Chardonnay and Grenache--planted along the Rhone Valley. It is very approachable with nice floral, fruity characteristics set on dry, mineral palate. Fermented not de-stemmed with natural yeast in casks and vats, and matured on the lees in stainless steel vats for 4 months.
Food Pairing: chicken with mushroom sauce, seafood, salads or with aged soft or hard cheeses.
