Costa d'Amalfi, one of the most scenic coastlines in Italy famed for the chic resort towns of Positano and Amalfi. Costa d'Amalfi, unknown as a superior wine region, makes average wines. Furore is one of three villages singled- out as a source of particularly fine wine and permitted to include its name as part of the DOC title on labels.
On the steep coastal cliffs there are pockets of vineyards that can be tended only by manual hoist. Those vines produce mineral driven wines that are affected by the sea breezes. Born to compliment a variety of seafood dishes from raw oysters to seafood stews, with a fragrant nose of lemons that grow wild in the region.
Food Pairing: lemon chicken, seafood, vegetable, salads.
