Grapes: 85% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon Blanc, and 5% Muscadelle

Notes: Baby Sauternes.
The appellation makes wines from Botrytis Cinerea ( the noble rot) infected Semillon with a little Sauvignon Blanc and sometimes Muscadelle. The infection causes the grapes to shrivel and concentrate the characteristic with an unique character caused by the Botrytis. Aromas of ripe apricots and wet wool. The palate exhibits a rich viscous texture upfront that leads into a savory apricot and peach dominated finish. If you are a fan of renowned Sauternes wine of Bordeaux, you might like to try this.
