From the 2003 vintage, a new DOCG (the highest classification in Italy) was granted within the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo appellation: Colline Teramane. The Nicodemi winery is in the center of this new appellation and, with the collaboration of enologist Paolo Caciorgna, established itself quickly as a leader of highest quality Montepulciano. The Nicodemi Terrana is bang for your buck Montepulciano. Made from grapes of lesser blocks or young vines, this easy-going red exhibits impressive, surprisingly delicious and authentic characteristics. With bright fruitiness, good structure, well-rounded character, it can go with any meal, from pizza to pasta to juicy stake.
