Pays D’Oc Rose 2015 L’Ostal Cazes

Refreshing, dry, light-body rose wine.

Grape: 20% Syrah, 80% Grenache.
Region: Southern France> Languedoc> Minervois.
Notes: Organic.

For years, Jean-Michel Cazes, owner of the Château Lynch-Bages in Bordeaux, has meandered through the roads of Languedoc. His gaze fell upon La Livinière, birthplace of the greatest vineyards in Minervois, and acquired an estate consisting of 50 hectares of vines and 25 hectares of olive trees. The history began again. Very light in color with a trace of rose, but don’t let the color fools you. You will not believe the great aromatic complexity with round, silky textures that lead to a clean, minerally, dry finish. The Syrah-Grenache combination has been one of the most successful red wine marriages, and is at the core of the famous Chateauneuf-du-Pape blend.
