Precise and focused with persisting minerality, this wine is made of 75% Marsanne sourced from the Ibarra-Young Vineyard in the Santa Ynez Valley and 25% Roussanne sourced from Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley. These vineyards, located in the Santa Barbara area just north of Los Angeles, are known to produce best quality grapes in the west coast. The longest growing season in the state and the ocean influenced climate foster slow ripening of the fruit. Marsanne and Roussanne are relatively unknown in the US market, but they are popular noble white grapes in the Rhone area of France. Some of best white Chateau-neuf du Pape are made from these grapes.
Food Pairing: chicken, seafood, vegetable, soft cheese.
