Description: Carlos Serres established his winery in 1896 in Haro, what is known to be the premium area within the Rioja Alta region. Everything is hand-picked and sorted in order to make the very best wine possible. Rich burgundy color with a light ruby color towards the rim. Aromas of red berry compote, musk, and red currants. On the palate the wine offers restraint and grace with dusty tannins integrated with balanced acid/alcohol. Displays lots of cherry/stawberry fruit with notes of aged balsamic and bramble. Great to enjoy with or without food.
Food Pairing: Grilled duck, roasted chicken, pork loin, stew.
