Product Description
Grape: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Chile> San Antonio Valley> Lo Abarca> Cypress Vyd.
Notes: The first female winemaker, owner, and founder of a Chilean winery.
Description: Founded in 2000 by Maria Luz Marin, a prominent winemaker who has worked for important Chilean wineries for many years. Growing up spending the summer in the small town of Lo Abarca, part of the San Antonio Valley wine growing area. Maria Marin always wanted to go back there to grow vines and make wine.
Only 2 miles from the Pacific coast, the wines have unique cool climate characteristics. In 2010 the Cypress Vyd. Sauvignon Blanc was recognized as the best Sauvignon Blanc in the world.
The 2014 is another winner in our opinion. Complex aromas of seaweed, gooseberries, and wet stone. Medium-bodied wine with good soft but vibrant acidity. Upfront notes of saline, lemon oil, and gooseberries are intertwined with notes of sea salt and Kumquats toward the long finish.
