St. Estephe 2005 Chateau Calon-Segur

Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot.
Region: France> Bordeaux> St. Esteph.
Notes: Cellaring until at least 2015 or decanting for several hours.

Tasted over several hours reveals deep purple color. Aromas of vanilla, violets. As it aerates we get tree ripe fruit and cherry tobacco. Palate is currently tight and gripping but great balance. Initial flavors of black loam, anise, wild mushrooms, and currants. This wine will continue to blossom for the next 20 years.
