Description: Bruce and Barbara Neyers has owned Neyers Vineyard since 1999. Bruce's experience comes from working with Kermit Lynch Imports for over 20 years. Ehren Jordan (Turley fame) helps oversee production and Tadeo Borchardt is the winemaker concentrating on organic farming. After opening, this wine should decant for at least 30 minutes to release the powerful ethers. Deep violet-purple color to the rim, with good concentration of color and clarity. Aromas of ripe blueberries, boysenberry, and milk chocolate. Juicy, high-octane wine on the palate revealing black fruit with silky tannins. The alcohol is on the high side but melds into the wine with aeration. The mid-palate will give off a little medicinal character due to the lush fruit and higher alcohol tones but really a non-issuse. The finish is completely dry and pleasing with notes of lingering bosyenberry and blueberries.
Food Pairings: red meats, game, cheese, by itself, etc.
