Description: The indigenous varietal Plavac Mali is believed to be the ancestor of Zinfandel and shares similar characteristics. Dark red in color, deep fruity nose of black plum, stewed blackberry with hints of black olive and mineral. Harvested from the famous and breathtakingly steep (40º-80º) slope vineyard that falls into the ocean in the island of Havar, this premium Plavac exhibits a rich, sturdy structure and a great balance with a long finish. In our taste test, the wine drinks great even a week after opening. Aged in a combination of large, used oak barrels and stainless steel tanks for a year.
